Tottenham even got a helping hand from VAR after United had an opening goal ruled out for a soft foul on Son in the build-up.

But it was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men celebrating at the end, as Kane trudged off the pitch gloomily with the rest of his beaten side.

Remember when Solskjaer’s side 6-1? different now.

Fred and Marcus Rashford exchanged passes to play in Cavani whose shot was well saved by Lloris, only for Fred to smash home the rebound.

Cavani then made a crucial contribution at the other end with a defensive header off his own crossbar after Pogba accidentally nodded a corner into the danger area.

And there was still time for sloppy Spurs to cough up a third, with Greenwood powering home after Dier and Sergio Reguilon were beaten far too easily.
