RAHEEM IS READY FOR TAKE-OFF WAY HEAVEN
City ace aiming to fly high with Quad then Euro glory
RAHEEM STERLING plans a flying finish to the season by conquering Europe with club and country.
The winger wants to net the Quadruple for Manchester City – then win the Euros at Wembley with England this summer.
City travel to Borussia Dortmund with a 2-1 first-leg advantage in the Champions League tomorrow, hoping to avoid a fourth straight quarter-final exit.
Sterling believes the sky will be the limit for him and City if they go through. He said: “If we can get past this stage we can fly. Over the last
couple of years we have been at this stage when we should have won, so it’s more like overcoming this stage and we will be flying.”
Victory over Dortmund would set City up nicely for an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea on Saturday and Carabao Cup Final versus Spurs on Sunday April 25, with just five points needed from six games to secure a third Premier League title in four seasons.
Three Lions star Sterling, speaking to BT Sport, added: “It is about doing stuff for your club. I’m hopefully looking to end the season on a high with City now and then turn my focus to England.
“I definitely want to be a part of that group for the Euros, a good bunch of quality players who are all in contention to start.
“We are really focused on winning and putting in a good performance, trying to achieve to be the No.1 team in the world.
“I always say when we go with the national team don’t be shy in saying that, there is no issue in saying that.”

ASTON VILLA winger Trezeguet is likely to miss the rest of the season as he requires surgery on a knee injury.
The Egypt international, 26, was forced off late on in the 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday after suffering the damage.
“Trezeguet will now have an operation before starting his rehabilitation,” said a Villa statement.
“Everyone at Aston Villa wishes Trez a full and speedy recovery.”
When asked about the problem after the match at Anfield, Villa boss Dean Smith said: “He tried to carry on but unfortunately didn’t feel great so had to come off and was naturally upset and worried at what extent the injury is. But only time will tell us.”
