SCOTLAND boss Steve Clarke refused to slam keeper David Marshall after he was beaten by a shot from the halfway line.

The Tartan Army were left deflated after a double from Patrik Schick, including an amazing lob from 49.7 yards, ruined their return to the Euro finals.

Schick admitted he made a mental note of Marshall’s high up positioning earlier in the game and planned his long shot.
