PHILIP Cutter, 50, is thought to be the first landlord in the UK to ask customers to show proof they’ve been jabbed before they can be served at The Gardeners Arms in Norwich.

GOVERNMENT staff have been spared from having to self-isolate as part of a new scheme.

Officials in the Cabinet Office and 10 Downing Street have been invited to take part in daily testing.

It will mean that those who have come into close contact with Covid carriers will be able to carry on with their jobs as normal if they get a negative result.

Tory MP William Wragg, who is calling on the Government to reform the contact-tracing system, said: “This is far preferenti­al to isolation.”
