Emoji a real joy

THE tears of joy emoji is the world’s most popular.

The smiley face was the second most used, while other top picks included the winking icon and a face wearing sunglasses.

The University of Southern California, US, analysed more than 19million tweets from 30 countries.

Prof Mayank Kejriwal said: “Emojis represent the human condition and that we are more alike than different.”
