Britney lawyer delight
BRITNEY Spears jumped for joy after being awarded the right to appoint her own lawyer to free herself from her conservatorship.
The Toxic singer took to Instagram to thank her fans for their support, posting a video of herself on horseback and flipping through the air.
She wrote: “Coming along, folks. Coming along. Real representation today. I feel GRATITUDE and BLESSED #Freebritney.”
The 39-year-old posted her video hours after telling a judge she wants her father Jamie, who has run her life since 2008, charged with conservatorship abuse.
Addressing a packed Los Angeles courtroom over the phone on Wednesday, she spoke about a raft of grievances, alleging hair products and coffee had even been taken from her.
“Ma’am, that’s not abuse, that’s just f ***** g cruelty,” she told Judge Brenda Penny through tears.
“Excuse my language but it’s the truth.”
She has now appointed lawyer Mathew Rosengart after her court-appointed lawyer Samuel Ingham agreed to step down.
