Gary: It a Ballet
SPANDAU Ballet founder Gary Kemp waited 25 years to make his solo album because he’d lost confidence.
Despite writing some of the biggest hits of all time in True and Gold, the songwriter had become unsure of himself.
Back with new LP INSOLO, Gary told me: “Some of it was me being a bit shy I suppose, thinking am I worthy? Should I be just thinking about getting Spandau Ballet back together? And when I write a song who do I write the lyrics for?”
It was fronting Nick Mason’s
