SUV swap pulls plug on carbon
DRIVERS of gas-guzzling SUVS could stop 8.7million tonnes of CO2 going into the atmosphere each year if they switched to electric.
Their carbon emissions are nearly 10% higher than for the average UK car, analysis for EDF found.
The firm’s Philippe Commaret said: “With a wide range of SUV styles available in EV models, drivers can do their bit for the environment and help achieve net zero without compromising on design or comfort.”
