Derek’s still the real deal
ANTHONY JOSHUA claims Derek Chisora is still a force in the heavyweight division after signing him up to his management company 258 MGT.
Chisora, 37, has joined forces with AJ after splitting with David Haye and the world heavyweight king was impressed by his display against his next opponent Oleksandr Usyk in October.
Chisora took Usyk, who faces Joshua at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 25, the distance at Wembley
Arena. “Chisora is still good, big and strong and he gave Usyk a good fight,” said the WBA Super, IBF and WBO champion.
“It will be interesting to see where Usyk is and his two heavyweight fights were good opponents to pick.”
Chisora (inset) lost a split decision to former WBO title holder Joseph Parker in his last fight in May at Manchester Arena and is optimistic about his partnership with Joshua’s company.
“The game is still the same, just with the new management team. Looking forward to doing good business with 258,” said the former world heavyweight title challenger.
