BBC News channels gave 13 minutes of time to the story of a tennis player being “held” in a hotel which, gosh, means he has to mix with refugees. Three minutes was given to the NHS crisis which was the 2nd item on in the priorities to report on. For goodness sake, they don’t give any attention, say, to all those Afghan refugees suffering here after the debacle in their country and Raab’s disinterest but some tennis player who people think should be given special treatment. Shame on you BBC. Dr R Kimble

I bet Tennis Star Novak Djokovic wishes it was Tennis here in England and not in Australia. Britain being a country who brings in and allows anyone with a sob story and not vaccinated against Covid 19 to enter without any problems. If only we had a PM like Australia’s Scott Morrison who says no vaccination no entry into his country. Our stupid Government with a PM and a USELESS Home Secretary have not only allowed 28,000 illegals entry into our country and they don’t even know if they are vaccinated against Covid. Then they have put them into 3-4 Star Hotels with all the trimmings. Laughing stock Britain. Tod

What a new year already. We have idiots who rip our Historical statues down encouraged to do more vandalism. We have a warmongering tory given a knighthood (he was never labour). We have the public & commercial union plus a set of dogooders the care4calais who are encouraging thousands to camp and cross over in dinghies. GREENY BARNSLEY

So if you or me desicrated a war memorial we would be fined or jailed and rightly so. These protesters can not change the past why then do they not look at modern slavery and where the clothing and goods we buy come from? Send them to Asia to see what slave labour is and see what they can do about that. I expect Daddy wouldn’t allow it.

How on earth can the colston 4 be found not guilty of criminal damage when there is tv coverage showing what they did? This decision is right up there with the katie price judgement, some people can get away with anything, farcical. Barrowmick

Top marks to Nathan Dane for bringing Ceefax back to life. As the World that we live in continues to go mad, more people go for retro and nostalgia as it reminds us of when life was a lot more straight forward. Best thing about this story is that Nat is only 20, proving that not all young people are “Snowflakes!” Dave Pinfold, Stockport
