DJ Tom: Jack is all right

TOM Zanetti has defended Jack Grealish’s summer of partying and insisted the footballer is always “professional” off the pitch.
The DJ welcomed the Manchester City star to Ibiza and has said he never takes things too far.
For years, Tom has been providing escapism for lads such as the England player at his club Playroom, and says if anyone deserves to let their hair down it’s footballers.
Tom told me: “I have known Jack for years. I have been to a few parties with him. He is always very professional. Obviously, he likes to dance but he doesn’t go overboard.
“And he has not changed. He’s the same lad he always was, but now he is worth £100million.
“These lads work hard and are under a lot of pressure. If they want to go to Ibiza and have a little drink, so what?”
Despite falling on hard times during lockdown, Tom’s business is thriving – but providing the party for his celebrity pals has started taking a toll on his own mental health.
The former Celebs Go Dating star admitted: “I’m really lucky to be in these sorts of circles and have friends like this, and the fact they come to my place to relax is really good for me and for my business.
“But all I have done is party. I get paid to party – it’s my club, my festivals and I have to be there. Without a drink I get socially anxious because everyone else is p***ed and they all want to talk to you. “It can get to a point where if you party too much, it can affect your business, it can affect your mindset and it started to have an effect. It went on for a bit too long.” Tom wants to concentrate on more original music too, after releasing banger Slow Down – a reinvention of Bobby V’s classic R&B jam.
And Tom teased his next collab, adding: “I will put out four things this year.
“I made a track with ArrDee. He’s a really good friend of mine and a great rapper.”

This Friday the producer will release his star-studded album Funk Wav Bounces Vol 2 and revealed he has plenty of them.
★ Calvin shared: “I write loads of lists and think, ‘Who have I not worked with before? Who would I like to work with again? Who might want to do this?’ There’s just a lot of lists.”
The LP was delayed because there were so many people desperate for a feature.

★ HAS Tom DeLonge returned to Blink-182? The co-frontman has always promised fans he’d be back following his departure in 2015, and it looks like now is the time.
He has hinted at the reunion with a few simple tweaks to his social media profiles, uploading a black and white snap of the band in the 90s while tagging the group’s official page, as well as re-listing Blink in his bio.
