KELLY’S FRAME GAME

- ■ by JOHN CROSS

CHLOE KELLY will frame the shirt she ripped off in celebration – together with her sports bra.

England matchwinner Kelly became a national hero with her dramatic extratime strike to win the Euros trophy.

She also revelled in an iconic moment of celebration as she tore her shirt off and wheeled away in delight.

Kelly insisted even her mum loved the scenes which evoked memories of ex-USA star Brandi Chastain, who did the same after scoring a decisive penalty in the 1999 World Cup final.

Chastain even sent a message saying, “I see you” before congratulating England for their “huge achievement” which left her smiling.

Kelly said: “I’m going to frame my boots, my shirt and my sports bra probably – absolutely everything.

“Yeah, I just went mental. I didn’t know what to do. But I think it was an amazing celebration because what a tournament!

“I didn’t know what to do at the final whistle.

“It wasn’t until I saw my mum that I started crying because she was so emotional.

“But look up to heaven, all the people who supported me throughout my career and yeah, it’s special.

“It just came in the moment. I never thought of that moment happening.

You don’t expect it to happen, so I just went mental.”

Lifelong QPR fan Kelly was proudly showing off her medal which came after she promised her family “another Bobby Zamora moment”, having attended the 2014 Championship play-off final when the ex-Hoops striker hit a dramatic last-gasp winner against Derby.

But Kelly insists she is now after more success, starting with next year’s World Cup in Australia.

She said: “Looking at this medal makes you so much hungrier for more.

“The World Cup is around the corner. I want to win trophies.

“As a young girl you grow up seeing people win trophies and we’re here doing that. One is not enough. We want more.”
