Louis is live and kicking

SON AT GIG A BOOSTER

-

PERFORMING live has never been so much fun for Louis Tomlinson now his little boy can watch.

The 1D star invited six-year-old Freddie to his first gig recently and it was quite an event.

Louis revealed: “That was by far the most emotional show, he came with his own little banner.

“He’s normally in bed at seven, the show finished at 10 to

11 and he was still loving it; that was dead nice.”

Louis is back with new single Bigger Than Me which got him reflecting on the time he met the late Queen with his One Direction bandmates.

He recalled: “It was massively overwhelming, there is a full (royal) protocol. I do remember getting it wrong. I don’t think she cared. I didn’t quite say, ‘Alright love how you doing?’ But it was in that realm, but it was definitely a proud moment.”

The new song precedes his second solo LP, Faith In The Future, which he said was “written with the live show in mind, it’s my favourite part of the job seeing the songs come to life”.

He added: “I feel me and the producers are a little braver with the sounds that we used, it was marginally one dimensional – no pun intended – on the first record where I was just thinking about guitar sounds. “Whereas I do dip my toe into a couple of dancier sounding tunes on this record.”

He’s still playing One Direction songs live too – when he can remember them. Louis laughed: “I’d say maybe one in four gigs I normally forget one of my lyrics, one of the One Direction lyrics.

“So I am like, ‘All right you can sing now,’ that’s why I am blessed because they [the audience] always sing back to me.”
