RISHI: I REGRET GAV JOB
PMQs ‘bully’ uproar
RISHI Sunak has admitted he “regrets” bringing disgraced “bully” Sir Gavin “Thicko” Williamson back into the Cabinet.
And PMQs erupted in chaos after opposition MPs yelled “bring the lettuce back”, suggesting Sunak is already doing a worse job than Liz Truss.
The PM was grilled after Thicko was forced to quit as a minister amid bullying allegations, which he denies.
Mr Sunak told the House of Commons: “I obviously regret appointing someone who has had to resign in the circumstances.
“Unequivocally the behaviour complained of was unacceptable and it’s absolutely right that the right honourable gentleman has resigned.” The PM came under pressure to explain why he gave Thicko a senior job – after he was sacked twice by former PMs Theresa May and Bozo Johnson. A civil servant alleged Sir Gavin told him to “slit your throat”.
