LONDON A O-KAY
Comic Pete’s monthly gigs
PETER Kay is taking up a Vegasstyle residency in London.
The comedy legend, 49, will perform at The O2 arena every month for a year.
Fans across the South had feared he would not be playing away from his native North when a list of tour dates appeared to snub the capital.
Peter joked: “There’s basically been me and Prince who have done it and look what happened to him. Michael Jackson, he was another, he was supposed to do 50 nights. I got his shows.”
The residency kick offs on December 16. The star is keen to keep ticket prices low for fans in the cost of living crisis.
He said: “You’ve got to meet people halfway, it’s bad times, plus that’s why people need a laugh.”
