Pair ditch UK

A BRITISH-Ukrainian couple who fled to the UK moved back to the war-hit nation due to costs and expensive rents here.

Joe Place, 29, from Sheffield, and wife Irina, 34, left their home in Kyiv for Britain in February, but are now in the western city of Uzhhorod.

Mr Place said it would cost up to £1,500 a month to rent in the UK, and added: “We actually quite like it back here.”
