ADIDAS: WE KAN STILL SELL SHOES
ADIDAS plans to carry on as sole owner of shoes the firm designed with Kanye West.
The brand ended its partnership with the US rapper following his antisemitic remarks on social media.
The firm condemned his comments as “unacceptable, hateful and dangerous”.
Now Adidas is carrying on with new colourlines without Kanye’s Yeezy brand
Chief financial officer Harm Ohlmeyer said: “Adidas is the sole owner of all design rights registered to existing products.
“We intend to make use of these rights as early as 2023.”
The rapper, 45, lost around £1.3billion when the contract ended.
It cost him his spot on the Forbes billionaires’ list.
