Ditched by best friend

-

I’VE been dropped by a guy I considered a good friend and I’m furious.

He’s got a new girlfriend who doesn’t want him having female pals. He can’t see or even speak to me again.

How pathetic is that in this day and age?

He and I go way back. We used to work at the same firm and went through some wild times together.

But I’ve never fancied him and he’s never fancied me.

Now he’s in love and his new girl sounds like an insecure nightmare.

JANE SAYS: You have to accept your friend has embarked on a new important relationship.

You and he were close but now he’s moved on.

You can’t take this to heart, because people drift in and out of our lives all the time and I’m sure it’s not personal.

It’s more important that you take stock of your own situation.

If you’re feeling lonely or fear that you’re not reaching your full potential, then look at retraining and making new friends.

Your old friend didn’t define you. It’s your life so make something of it.
