Quite how a luxury SUV weighing well over two tonnes can ever be described as ‘sustainable’ is beyond me, but Bentley uses the word in its description of its new limited edition Bentayga Odyssean Edition.

Only 70 of them will be sold worldwide and each is powered by the company’s 3.0-litre V6 hybrid powertrain which gives an electric-only range of up to 28 miles.

The Odyssean includes a three-colour interior, tweed upholstery panels and unique 22in wheels. There’s no mention of price yet but the cheapest current model starts at £162,500 – so expect a significant premium on that.
