Detector treasure

A MEDIEVAL ring and secret seal found by metal detectorists are set to sell for over £40k at auction.

The 14th century gold and diamond ring was found in Dorset. The seal, from a family who came to England with William the Conqueror, was discovered in Hertfordshire.

They will sell at Noonans of Mayfair this month.
