Military wives protest

MILITARY wives have arrived in a Russian border town to demand their husbands back.

More then a dozen descended on Valuiki after their husbands’ unit was decimated, with a large number of wounded soldiers left behind.

One of the women expressed her fury at Russian commanders, saying: “I’m ready to tear them apart.

“They must do something, they must make some decision, they must take them out of there.

“There are many wounded there”.

The women have also threatened to cross over into the combat zone themselves to retrieve their husbands if military leaders don’t act.
