PUB PAIR GET THAT LOVING SPOONS-FULL

Romance grew as they pulled pints

- ■ by ANDY CRICK news@dailystar.co.uk

TWO Wetherspoons employees tied the knot after they fell in love while working in one of the pubs.

Caitlin and George Ashworth’s romance blossomed while they were pulling cheap pints for punters.

Shift manager George, 29, said: “Caitlin joined the team as a bar associate six months after me and we started to go out together after work.

“So, we met through ’Spoons.”

They became an item in 2016 following their meeting at The Brun Lea in Burnley, Lancs, and now both work at the Wallace Hartley in nearby Colne.

The couple quickly moved in together and are now parents to Theodore, three, and Albert, two.

And they finally got hitched in Llandudno, north Wales, after Covid twice scuppered their wedding plans.

Caitlin, 27, added: “We had a few colleagues at the wedding, and we appreciated them all for travelling to Wales to be with us.”
