HEARING birdsong improves mental health, a new study reveals.
Sounds of nature thriving around us make us more relaxed compared with urban noises like traffic, say scientists.
Emil Stobbe, from Germany’s Max Planck Institute, said: “Birdsong could also be applied to prevent mental disorders.
“Listening to an audio CD would be a simple, easily accessible intervention.
“But we can assume that the effects are even stronger outdoors in nature.”
