Strikers fear for the NHS

STRIKES may be the only way to rescue the NHS, a trade union says.

As health workers vote on action, Unite will launch an ad campaign warning the PM that this week’s autumn statement is his last chance to save the health service.

Unite General Secretary Sharon Graham said: “Services are at breaking point while workers are struggling to make ends meet. The blame for this lies squarely with the Government.”

It has been reported that the PM is considering pay rises of 2% for public sector workers, from next April.
