Philip Crown sue call

-

PRINCE Philip looked into suing Netflix over the portrayal of him in its hit show The Crown.

The late Duke of Edinburgh had spoken to his lawyers after it appeared to blame him for his sister’s death.

Royal historian Hugo Vickers said: “I know Prince Philip consulted his lawyer about it to ask, ‘What can I do about it?’

“He was upset about the way that was portrayed. He was human. He could be hurt like anybody else.”

The prince’s sister Cecilie died in a plane crash in 1937 with her husband and their two sons.

The Crown portrays her flight to London as a reaction to Philip, then 16, having problems at school and his father says: “You’re the reason we’re burying my favourite child.”
