THE ISLE OF KITES

★ BEARS, ice creams and tigers all take to the sky in an island’s kiteflying contest over the weekend. Hundreds of enthusiasts were at the event on Corralejo Grandes Playas in Fuerteventura. It is the 35th time the kite festival has been staged since being launched in 1987.
