SEQUINS, inflatables and pyjamas ruled the MTV EMAs performances on Sunday night.

Ava Max strode on to Düsseldorf’s PSD Bank Dome stage looking like a Strictly contestant to sing Million Dollar Baby in a sparkle encrusted mini-dress.

Perhaps Bebe Rexha feared the stage might flood, as she rolled up wearing what looked like inflatable PVC armbands to sing I’m Good (Blue) with David Guetta.

A huge pillow fight broke out for Gayle’s rendition of Abcdefu, with dancers causing chaos on a giant bed, while Muse gave a high-energy performance of Will Of The People.
