Sparks just fail to fly

-

IS it selfish of me to expect the full package in a man?

There’s one bloke who likes me, but I don’t find him attractive.

Everyone says I should give him a chance, but I feel it would be wrong to build his hopes up.

He told me he’d be happy with any kind of relationship, but I can’t give him the kind of commitment he wants.

JANE SAYS: You have to be truthful with your admirer about your feelings.

It’s not fair to keep him dangling when he could be finding love elsewhere.

Of course, he’ll be disappointed and maybe a little embarrassed, but honesty has to be the best policy.

You may think you’re shooting yourself in the foot, but if you don’t desire him, then you don’t.

Ultimately, you can’t fake your feelings or force yourself if the spark isn’t there.

Concentrate on widening your circle of friends; set yourself challenges and push yourself into new situations.

But, remember, no-one is perfect (including you) and compromises will have to be made no matter who you end up with.
