Fluid off for flight on Virgin

VIRGIN Atlantic’s “fluid” uniform policy did not apply on the England team’s flight “to ensure the safety of our people”, it said.

The crew working on the trip from Birmingham to the World Cup yesterday wore uniforms based on their gender due to a riskassessment by the carrier.

Virgin said: “Considering laws and attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community, it was recommended the policy was not applied on today’s charter flight to ensure the safety of our people.”
