Clients are too cheeky

-

MY partner now runs his business from our front room.

I’m sick of clients and employees coming in and out and using my bathroom. Our kitchen has become the staff canteen. The other day I walked into my bedroom to find his deputy having a snooze on our divan.

I accept that renting office space became too expensive but I’ve had enough. I work in the spare room and find the whole business distracting and annoying.

Yet my partner thinks it’s mean of me to complain when he’s trying to keep the business afloat. What about my needs and stress levels?

JANE SAYS: You can’t allow anyone to take advantage. Talk to your man today about boundaries.

He has to respect that you also have a job to do (and a salary to earn).

Certain rooms must be out of bounds and individuals have to respect your space.

It’s not your job to provide a cosy crash pad.

Aren’t there other cafés and pubs they could use for meetings, snacks and comfort breaks instead?

Put your foot down before this drives a wedge between you.
