IN FOR THE KYL

£150m Mbappe lined up to replace Ron

- ■ by JEREMY CROSS

MANCHESTER UNITED are sizing up a sensational £150m swoop for Kylian Mbappe.

The Paris St-Germain superstar is a shock target to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

United, who are also still interested in England and Spurs striker Harry Kane, will dump Ronaldo following his bombshell interview in which he savaged the club.

The 37-year-old accused them of betrayal and trying to force him out, as well as admitting he has no respect for boss Erik ten Hag.

There is no way back for Ronaldo at Old Trafford and his exit ahead of schedule has made the club determined to net a world-class replacement.

They are one of the few clubs in Europe able to pay Mbappe

(right) £500,000 a week, the same wages as Ronaldo, along with huge performance-related

bonuses, to tempt the world’s most exciting young player to England as he plots his next big move.

Napoli’s Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is also on United’s radar and a more attainable January target, with the Serie A club having braced themselves for offers for their prolific £60m-rated forward.

But Mbappe would be the dream signing for United, however difficult it might be to pull off such a huge transfer coup.

He was set to join Real Madrid, but chose to sign a lucrative extension with PSG until 2025.

Real President Florentino Perez was dismayed at Mbappe’s snub and the Spanish club’s interest in the 23-year-old has cooled, opening the door for United to be contenders for his signature.
