POLAND STRIKE IS PUTIN’S FAULT
Zel’s troops fired stray missile at Vlad rocket blitz
A ROCKET that killed two Polish civilians was “highly likely” to have been fired by Ukraine – but Western leaders have laid the ultimate blame at Putin’s door.
Tuesday’s blast came after Mad Vlad unleashed attacks on Lviv and other western Ukrainian cities.
It’s thought the missile was an air defence weapon that crash-landed in Przewodow, eastern Poland.
There were fears that if it was a Russian weapon it could bring Nato forces into the war – possibly triggering World War Three.
But, after a meeting of the North Atlantic
Council, Nato Secretary
General Jens Stoltenberg said there was no indication Russia was preparing military action against
Nato members. He maintains Russia is still to blame for the deaths.
He said: “We have no indication that this was the result of a deliberate attack. I have no indication that Russia is preparing offensive military action against Nato.
“Preliminary analysis suggests that the incident was likely caused by a Ukrainian air defence missile fired to defend Ukrainian territory against Russian cruise missile attacks. But let me be clear, this is not Ukraine’s fault. Russia bears ultimate responsibility as it continues its illegal war.”
The Polish President Andrzej Duda added that he has seen “no evidence” the missile was fired by Russia. He said that the Soviet-era S-300 rocket likely came from Ukraine and was an accident.
