Star gets in line

THERE was no question of Phillip Schofield jumping the queue this time as he lined up for an ITV party.

The This Morning host waited to enter the ITV Palooza at the Royal Festival Hall in London, joining stars including singer Frankie Bridge, dancer Oti Mabuse and TV’s AJ Odudu.

Schofield, 60, and co-host Holly Willoughby, 41, were accused of skipping the line to see the Queen lying in state in September.

The duo said they were backed by ITV and given “official permission” to go in the hall.

Schofield insisted they did nothing wrong and refused to apologise.

He said: “Why would I apologise? You’ve seen that 700 other journalists did exactly the same thing.”

He says the backlash was unjustified.
