Wayne: I’ll do it a-Kane

- ■ from JAMES NURSEY in Doha

WALES keeper Wayne Hennessey has set his sights on shutting out Harry Kane again.

England star Kane was top scorer at the last World Cup and is targeting another Golden Boot.

But Hennessey (above) will be standing in his way when Rob Page’s men face the Three Lions in a potential Group B decider on November 29.

Nottingham Forest star Hennessey thwarted Kane only last week as his club side knocked Spurs out of the Carabao Cup.

Asked if he wanted another clean sheet against the England captain for the second time in three weeks, the keeper said: “Definitely against Harry Kane. I had a

good game last week against Tottenham and kept a nice clean sheet.

“I have obviously played against Harry a lot of times.

“He is a world-class striker but to get a clean sheet was good and always nice.

“He did have chances in that game but we all played really well that night.

“For a goalkeeper like myself it is always really great to come off with a clean sheet.”

Wales kick off their World Cup campaign against USA on Monday night before taking on Iran and then they finish off against England.

Hennessey said: “We can’t wait. We are very proud and the nation have been amazing.”

As Wales prepare to play at their first World Cup for 64 years, Dragons boss Page said: “We’re proud and just glad that we’re here now so we can throw our full focus towards that first game.

“The players have been brilliant. We’ve had a couple of days together now and we’re so pleased to be here.”
