Neighbours are saved by Amazon
TELLY stars were celebrating last night after Neighbours was revived months after the soap was axed.
The hit Australian show will return to screens in 2023.
Production company Fremantle has signed a big-money deal to stream it on Amazon Freevee.
A string of fan favourites have signed up to reprise their roles, including Ryan Moloney as Toadie Rebecchi, Alan Fletcher as Karl and Kennedy and Jackie Woodburne as his wife Susan.
Former star Jason Donovan said he was “thrilled” at the move, adding: “Neighbours has helped shine a light on Australian culture, provided endless opportunities for our industry and kept fans entertained for decades.”
Alan added: “The most incredible news has just landed.”
Fremantle boss Jennifer Mullin said: “We are thrilled that we have found a new home.”
