Beast admits murder of Zara
A SEXUAL predator has admitted murdering Zara Aleena nine days after he was freed from prison.
Jordan McSweeney, 29, targeted more than one woman before attacking the 35-year-old on June 26.
Oliver Glasgow, prosecuting, said he launched an “attack upon a lone female late at night making her way home, a woman who stood no chance”.
Zara was dragged into a driveway in Ilford, east London, and subjected to a savage assault.
McSweeney sexually assaulted the law graduate and stole her mobile phone, keys and handbag.
She was found with severe head injuries and died in hospital the next day.
At the Old Bailey, McSweeney, of Dagenham, Essex, pleaded guilty to murder and sexual assault.
He had been released from jail – where he served time for criminal damage, racially aggravated harassment and possession of a knife – on June 17. Sentencing was adjourned until December 14.
