OAP oil tarquins rapped

AN OAP group of Just Stop Oil activists have been slapped with suspended prison sentences.

Ruth Cook, 70, Joy Corrigan, 71, Stephen Jarvis, 66, and George Oakenfold, 78, admitted breaking an injunction by blocking the entrance to a petrol station. Dr Patrick Hart, 36, also admitted the charge.

Thurrock Council and Essex County Council had sought the High Court order to “restrain unlawful acts of protest”.
