Putin troops fire ‘poor man’s nuke’
DESPERATE Vladimir Putin has deployed a horrific flamethrower known as a “poor man’s nuclear weapon”.
The TOS-1A Solntsepek thermobaric weapon is designed for the complete destruction of armoured vehicles and buildings.
It vaporises everything within 1,000ft, ruptures lungs and leaves no hope of survival with a blast temperature of up to 3,000°C.
Drone video footage shows the mercenaries and freed prisoners of Mad Vlad’s Wagner Group using the artillery version of the weapon to hit Ukrainian forces. The thermobaric ammunition can be used in a rocket or dropped from the air.
A first explosive charge opens the container before a second detonates the fuel cloud, triggering a huge fireball and a massive blast wave.
Retired US colonel David Johnson dubbed it “a poor man’s nuclear weapon”.
A source told news outlet RIA FAN: “These weapons are considered the most terrible.”
