OUR LETTUCE HELPS ANT MARK BIRTHDAY

★ ANT McPartlin celebrated his birthday – and then gave a speech saying the current series is “sensational”.

As he turned 47 yesterday, the crew on the ITV show dressed up in Ant masks on set, sang happy birthday and presented him with a cake.

The Daily Star’s lettuce, who lasted longer than Liz Truss’s stint as Prime Minister, even turned up wearing a hat.

★ Ant said: “This is nice, it is quite emotional. It is a pleasure to be back here in Australia for my birthday, I have missed it. And the show is going great. It is a sensational series.”
