We’re all ‘In Need’ of help after Budget

-

❑ How on earth are we expected to donate to Children in need when most of us are all in need ourselves? Yet the rich keep on getting richer!! Its time we sort this devide out!! Dave

❑ I am 66 next week + because i was born after sept 24th i am not entitled to the winter payment (no winter for me then ??). Strangely enough though my triple lock payment will not arrive until April after winter. I have never been one for conspiracy theories but are they trying to bump us oldies all off + how many lives would the 10% rise save, due to oldies being able to turn the fire on + not getting hypothermia COAP (cold old aged pensioner). Taff Evans, Coventry

❑ I’m sick of this bull***t, pensioners win, 40 years of assault, sexual assault, threatend, bullied by bosses, intimidated. Once our savings have gone there’s nothing to replace it, then proverbial hits the fan. Laurence

❑ Centrica, Shell, BP, & SSE, pleading poverty & cant pay tax on there unearned profits, but can pay an extra £4bn £500million to share holders on top of their shares. Jeremy Hunt announces he is giving away £7bn in foreign aid, does that still include india & china, both are reaching for the stars in space craft. We are in a reccestion. Your taking the bloody p**s. Will you be paying for those that have died from starvation or frozen to death, just saying. anon

❑ Jeremy Hunt’s first Budget as Chancellor means more tax rises and spending cuts, which will lead to a recession. If 3/4 of the economy is shut down on and off for 2 years because of a flu-like virus, then there will be a black hole in the Nation’s finances. anon

❑ To dd: I work 80 hours a wk and still struggling with payments. If u want more money get to work. Bozzie cumbria

❑ Self employed builder voted Labour all my life till Corbyn. Tories helped me out loads with covid payment. Labour are now the party with no answers to any problem, all they do is call tories. What are your policies Sir Keir?? Cumbrian Kev

❑ What the punters are not realising is that prices seem double is because it’s not a simple case of price rises due to inflation which is now in double figures. It is increased costs because of the Russian/Ukraine war plus supermarkets have taken away any special offers such as half price or BOGOF plus what they now charge is full retail price plus inflation figures. The footfall has dropped but they are still making profits. Farouk Crosshill

❑ Jeremy Hunt, that book you read, wasnt the beano was it ? Anona-mouse

❑ Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought the whole idea of electric cars were so we didn’t have to pay tax on them as they produce zero emissions. Surely this will seriously halt the sales on them, especially now when electricity itself is so expensive. Dave Cornwall

❑ So from 2025 electric vehicle owners will have to pay Vehicle Excise Duty on their vehicles. The next thing you know the bigger the electric motor, the vaster the Vehicle Excise Duty. Watch this space. LEO F.

❑ to Mr coffee: Thank you for correction. My apologies for saying Road Tax when I should have said Vehicle Tax. According to latest mini or whatever budget, electric cars must now class as Vehicles as they will be paying Vehicle Tax from 2025. ODDBALL

I think all Tarquins should have to pay for meals if held on remand. all drivers should carry a ink dye and if these lot glue to road pour dye over heads then we all know who these lot are. stockton jeff

Although i use it myself it sometimes annoys me when people say ‘see you in a bit’ instead of ‘see you in a while.’
