Davies hopes to turn tables on Americans

- ■ from JAMES NURSEY

ADAM DAVIES admits he is a wannabe DJ and hopes to find a “winning mix” for Wales’ dressing room. Sheffield United goalkeeper Davies has four caps and has travelled to Qatar as Rob Page’s third choice.

But he believes he could still play a vital role in helping get Wales’ stars fired up with some pre-match tunes.

His first live set will be on Monday before their opener against USA at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan. Davies said: “If there is a mix that wins, we will stick with that because it is the winning mix. It will be house music. It will be a lot of drops and bass. “Chris Gunter as well has produced a lot of music over the years. Me and him are in co-operation, back to back. “We’ll DJ and try and have a laugh before the game.”

Davies has played three matches this term for the Blades who are second in the Championship. He likes to relax by practising his DJing at home. Davies added: “House music is my preference. I’ve always wanted to learn how to DJ and one of the lads at my old clubs could do it, so he told me how to do it. “Recently I bought my own decks for the house but the missus isn’t very happy about it.”
