SAM Fischer has put in a last-minute bid to have his new song on a Christmas advert.
The This City hitmaker reckons his new tune Carry It Well would make the perfect soundtrack to a heartstring-pulling ad.
He told me: “If anyone wants to use Carry It Well in their advert then they can go ahead.
“John Lewis always has the advert that always comes out and rips people apart, it pulls at your heartstrings, but I’d love to do one like that.”
Sam has had a rocky few years after This City became his first international hit during lockdown.
Due to Covid Sam never had the chance to reap the rewards and his promised slot of opening up for Niall Horan was cancelled.
Carry It Well touches on the pressure Sam felt to suck it up and carry on smiling.
He explained: “On one hand I was stoked but then I had to get my head around it not happening how I dreamed it would happen.”
