DESCRIBED as “an epic tale 13.8billion years in the making” (so the makers must be exhausted by now), this series uses all kinds of computerised jiggery-pokery and special effects to explore the natural world.

Narrated by Morgan Freeman, it’s particularly good at showing how seemingly disconnected events in the wild are linked in intriguing ways.

Plus it’s full of lots of cute animals. Albeit “cute” in a “don’t get too close” kind of sense.
