Qatar couldn’t organise a p**s up in a brewery

- JMO Derby

❑ Well, there is one thing l have learned from this upcoming World Cup. Qatar can’t organise a p**s up in a brewery. PWD

❑ You have to give Qatar credit they have stitched FIFA up like a kipper. Allegedly pay out small change in bribes to gain the contract then reap a fortune from all that gives them & THEN at the very last minute when it is too late to do anything about it they insist on their rules being followed!! You couldn’t make up the propaganda kudos this will give them of making fools of greedy capitalism! Ian L

❑ I am still unable to comprehend that fifa condones the murder of journalist jamal khashoggi, ordered by the prince mohammed bin salman, (not to stand trial). While england are to play a pariha state, named as the axis of evil, ( has given & supported mad vlad, putin’s unlawful attack on ukraine, by iran) fifa, you think that’s acceptable? Lawman

❑ now the world cup has finally begun let’s put England’s chances into perspective I think they have 2 chances fat chance and no chance. Rat boy Cumbria

❑ The World Cup a lot of cheering but not much booze. Phil Southend

❑ HAIR WE GO! in our Star – can’t see how footballers in Qatar waxing their legs will help with the heat. We shave our chest hair every summer and find that a good help.

❑ james clever~clogs ranting on about the fact IRANIAN weopons being used to kill people in ukraine!! Er point of order cleverclogs ~ british weopons av bin used/ supplied to our ‘bankers’ saudi arabia to butcher/slaughter the poor folk of YEMEN for the last decade!!! Or as that minor fact slipped ur tiny mind!!!? robtin

❑ so Rishi Sunak has promised Ukraine even more money. His countrymen are cold hungry and generally struggling. What the hell is this government playing at. Yes give if you’ve got it to give but we haven’t it’s time other countries put their hands in their pockets. Charity begins at home. Ollies mum

❑ Royal Mail should drop Wednesday letter deliveries, not such a vibrant, “go-to” day like Saturday. I agree letters are not as profuse as the e-mail, text, revolution. But one serious impediment would be non-receipt of an electricity bill. If not received Saturday, a needless delay till Monday could be crippling. Similarly, medical correspondence. Luke

❑ Factories don’t charge their workers to use their car parks so why do the nhs hospital charge the hospital staff to use their car parks?

Andy Ipswich

❑ far left student egg thrower {Charles 3rd} university’s shud throw em of courses. they intimidate speakers on campuses. call police n gov. Rich

❑ Do all supermarkets have groups of women chatting in the aisles with their trolleys blocking the way? Steve. London

❑ I wasnt surprised 2 hear about vicious magpies. One in my garden often pokes his beak thru my rabbit run. My buck charges him but they r nasty birds. The huge seagull however sits quite silent on the roof among the pigeons. GINNY P

❑ why the amazement regarding Magpies being viscous? We’ve always had issues with them and our various pets. They are complete psychos. EC

❑ now a war on the magpie eh!! Ah well i always liked blue peter more anyway ha ha.!!. mjb

❑ Agree with you Anon, Essex, re “see you in a bit” what annoys me is when people say “see you later” to every Tom, Dick and Harry to perfect strangers eg people asking directions etc. Geo, Durham

❑ See you in a bit, is a diriritive of tara – bit Black Country. Pub lunch over to you. Laurence

❑ It’s ironic isn’t it that the Flat Earth beliefs are spreading around the globe!
