All Well again for Richie

-

PAUL TERRY hailed the resilience of Leyton Orient in their 2-1 win at Stockport.

With boss Richie Wellens in the stand after being unwell in the week, the League Two leaders trailed to Myles Hippolyte’s early goal but turned things around through Darren Pratley and Omar Beckles.

“It was a huge performance from the lads,” said assistant manager Terry.

Stockport manager Dave Challinor was frustrated not to take anything from the game but said: “The margins are getting smaller and smaller.”

Orient extended their lead to five points thanks to a very late equaliser for Grimsby in a 1-1 draw against second-placed Stevenage.

At the bottom, Colchester climbed off the foot of the table with a 3-0 win against Doncaster.

Hartlepool replaced Colchester in 24th place after losing 3-1 to Barrow, who are up to fourth.

Carlisle won 4-1 at Salford, Harrogate were 3-0 winners over promotion-chasing Mansfield.

Newport defeated struggling Gillingham 2-0, while a stoppagetime winner snatched Walsall a 2-1 victory over Crawley.

Elsewhere, Sutton beat Rochdale 1-0, Crewe edged Swindon by the same scoreline and AFC Wimbledon overcame Tranmere 2-0.
