Page began his profession­al career with Watford in 1993 and went on to also play for Sheffield United, Cardiff, Coventry, Huddersfie­ld and Chesterfie­ld.

HONOURS

Second Division title with Watford 1997-1998. via Promotion from First Division with Watford play-offs in 1999.

INTERNATIO­NAL CAREER

Won the first of his 41 caps in 1996 and played until 2005 when he described captaining Wales until 2005 when he described captaining to a 2-0 victory over Hungary as the “pinnacle” of his internatio­nal career.

MANAGEMENT

July 2014: Joins Port Vale as assistant manager. September 2014: Promoted to Vale manager.

May 2016: Leaves to become Northampto­n boss.

January 2017: Sacked and becomes first-team coach at Nottingham Forest.

March 2017: Takes over as Wales Under-21s boss.

August 2019: Promoted to join Ryan Giggs’ staff as first-team coach.

November 2020: Named Wales interim head coach.

April 2021: Assumes the role of Wales manager for Euros where side reach last 16.

June 2022: Wales beat Ukraine to qualify via a play-off for their first World Cup finals since 1958.

September 2022: Signs new four-year contract.
