Evans is ditched

SURREY batsman Laurie Evans has been axed from the Big Bash League after testing positive for a banned substance.

The T20 ace, 35, had been due to play for the Perth Scorchers in the BBL. But the franchise ditched him for the 2022-23 season after a positive test in August when he was playing for Manchester Originals in The Hundred.
