Pep the real deal

PEP GUARDIOLA has handed Manchester City a huge boost after agreeing a new and improved deal.

The Catalan is poised to sign a contract to stay at the Etihad until 2025.

Guardiola is understood to have agreed the new deal in principle following talks with club owner Sheikh Mansour and other senior figures in Abu Dhabi last week.

His current contract was due to expire at the end of this season and club bosses were keen to resolve the situation now to stop months of speculation.

Guardiola is on an estimated salary of £20m-a-year and his decision to commit for a further two years is a huge coup for City.
