Doc wait info now on web

WAITING times for GP appointments across England have been put online for the first time.

The statistics, on NHS Digital’s website, tell patients how many slots are available at each medical practice and how long it takes to see a doctor.

Health and Social Care Secretary Steve Barclay said: “We promised to prioritise patients and improve access and that is exactly what we have done – and this is just the start.

“This will allow patients to make a more informed choice about the care they receive.”
