Veg offer sickening

OUR country is falling down around our ears.

So many people are in such desperate circumstances in this cost-of-living crisis they cannot afford life’s basics.

Poverty-related hunger is now spiralling.

Things have got so bad that residents in some of the UK’s poorest neighbourhoods are being prescribed fresh fruit and veg to stop them from falling ill.

What a frightening state of affairs. Of course, it’s great there are projects to try to help people who are really struggling.

But how did the powers that be let it come to this?
